I quite literally do not know where to begin this review。 Although I studied English Literature and have an affinity for dense texts， I am by no means a literary snob。 I enjoy quick， easy reads just like millions of other women my age。 This book， however， was so poorly written and juvenile in it’s excuse for plot development that I am appalled that it was published。 When I got on my good reads app today， I was anticipating being validated by more scathing reviews but was shocked by how relativel I quite literally do not know where to begin this review。 Although I studied English Literature and have an affinity for dense texts， I am by no means a literary snob。 I enjoy quick， easy reads just like millions of other women my age。 This book， however， was so poorly written and juvenile in it’s excuse for plot development that I am appalled that it was published。 When I got on my good reads app today， I was anticipating being validated by more scathing reviews but was shocked by how relatively highly rated this book is。 Perhaps I had way to high of expectations， because I generally enjoy every psychological-thriller I read， but this was genuinely one of the worst novels I have ever read — from its unlivable characters， to several plot holes， the copious editing issues I discovered within， and the overall incredibly simple language used throughout。 I have the curse of needing to finish every book I start， so that’s why I finished it。 If I were on an island with nothing else to read， I would read it; however， if I had anything else with text， say， a shampoo bottle， I might reach for it first。 。。。more
